Mrs. Shaista Amber, ranked as the 44th most influential woman in India, significantly impacts the females in her immediate vicinity. Mrs. Amber was born in Allahabad in 1962 to a railway guard and a well-known Urdu poet. She was thought to be Bakhtawar (fortunate) in the family.
Her beautiful short stories and articles have been published in prestigious Indian and international periodicals since she was a little girl. She was a brilliant student in school who subsequently developed into an aspiring woman. She married Mohd. Idrees Amber, an aspiring civil servant and emerging Urdu poet. Thus, moved from one literati's shadow to another literati's shadow. She built India's first mosque, Amber Masjid, for women in an effort to reform society's long-standing malfeasance.
She was distressed as she listened to the grievances of numerous women who had come to her for assistance and were suffering from divorces that had been sparked by emails sent while intoxicated, sleepy, angry, or during a disagreement. Mrs. Amber has fought for women's rights since 1997, opposing practices like triple talaq, polygamy, halala, and meher, which are alien ideas that are forbidden by the Quran. After years of research and dedication, she also won praise for her Model Nikahnama draft.
She was incensed by how women were mistreated in society. By starting to help the disadvantaged patients at the adjacent SGPGI Hospital, she advanced herself. Mrs. Amber keeps fighting every injustice done to women, spreading goodness, and putting a stop to evil with the aid of a strong group of women from varied social backgrounds and pushing forward in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.
She was nominated by the U.S. State Department for both the Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage award and the International Religious Freedom award in 2019 by the U.S. Embassy in India.
In her personal life, Mrs. Amber is blessed with a son and two daughters, and they feel proud of their mother for being such a revolutionary soul.
